VALOR-SACRIFICE

Flags Over Normandy is an American organization dedicated to honoring service and sacrifice through the donation of flags to memorials in Normandy, France.

Our Mission

“We ensure that those who crossed an ocean to defend liberty are never forgotten on the shores where they fell.”

Flags Over Normandy, LLC was founded on a simple but profound conviction: the men and women who gave their lives on the beaches and fields of Normandy deserve to be honored not just in memory, but in the living presence of the flags they served.

Through the donation of flags to memorials across Normandy, we ensure that the colors of liberty continue to fly at the places where history was made and sacrifice was given.

Our work extends beyond flag donations to encompass historical research, memorial preservation awareness, and deep collaboration with local French organizations — because honoring the fallen is a shared responsibility across nations.

Sacred Ground We Honor

We are proud to support memorials across Normandy that honor the Allied forces who liberated France in June 1944.

Normandy American Cemetery

Colleville-sur-Mer, France

The final resting place of 9,388 American military dead, overlooking Omaha Beach — one of the most sacred sites of the Second World War.

Utah Beach Memorial

Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, France

Commemorating the American forces who landed on Utah Beach on June 6, 1944, opening the liberation of Western Europe.

Pointe du Hoc Ranger Monument

Cricqueville-en-Bessin, France

Honoring the U.S. Army Rangers who scaled the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc under fire on D-Day in one of the war's most daring operations.

In Memoriam

In honor of all who served, all who sacrificed, and all who gave their lives so that others might live in freedom. Their names are carved in stone. Their colors fly still.

Our Work

How We Honor the Fallen

Our mission is carried out through three pillars of dedicated service.

01

Historical Research

We conduct and support research into the specific units, individuals, and actions commemorated at each memorial we serve — ensuring that the flags we donate are accompanied by the full weight of historical understanding.

02

Memorial Preservation Awareness

We work to raise awareness of the preservation needs of Normandy's military memorials, partnering with local authorities and international organizations to ensure these sacred sites endure for future generations.

03

Franco-American Collaboration

We maintain close partnerships with French municipal governments, veterans' associations, and historical societies in Normandy — because the bond forged in 1944 between France and America is one that must be actively tended.
