Our Mission

Flags Over Normandy is dedicated to honoring the courage, service, and sacrifices of those who fought for the liberation of France.

Through the donation and placement of American and French flags at historic memorials throughout Normandy, we recognize the individuals, military units, and events that contributed to the Allied campaign and the restoration of freedom.

Working alongside local French organizations and communities, we seek to preserve historical memory, honor the contributions of all Allied nations, and strengthen the enduring bonds of friendship forged during the liberation of France.

We approach all sites of remembrance with historical integrity, dignity, and respect for the human cost of war.

Our mission is to ensure that future generations understand the history, courage, and sacrifices behind the freedom we remember today. Every flag is a symbol of gratitude. Every memorial has a story worth remembering.
